Our Printing Exam Project ^^!

I'm bit late in writing here today^^. I was out all day with my friend. We went candy shopping, bought us amazing food deal and had fun roaming around. It was such a lovely day i'm happy to be blessed with so many cute things.

I really am getting excited for my valentines day custom orders x>. If you have not placed your custom order yet you should right away on my facebook page here. As bookings are slowly filling up.^

So today I wanted to share my printing exam project I made. It's a rug filled with some cool motifs. Here's how I made this:

I first cut out fabric piece 2.5 meter long and stitched it's four sides. Then I created two batik and dip dyed motif samples. Both sample patches were sewed on the rug. Lastly I stencil printed on both it's sides and two in middle at it's bottom^^.

************

Here's a peek at my friend's rug  she did block printing and batik patch work on her rug.^

***************

Final look of my cute rug here it is. It took me 12 hours to complete this rug ^^.

Thanks for checking out my today's
project work^^

Mini Painting: Sewing Machine!

Being a fashion accessories designer is not only major FUN,  but it's challenging too. There was this "blockage" I went through during past few months. Maybe I needed some break from the crazy-totally-out-of-control list of projects and custom orders I was taking. Now that I finally am over that "blockage" phase. I am creating some of the most unique cute products you've ever seen x>. And I won't stop till I touch the sky. I'm super excited for my upcoming custom orders and did I told you my products are selling fast ^?. I am so thankful to God for His all blessings.

Most importantly I am thankful to you all. For all those who gave importance to my Art, my designs and creations, thank you very much x>.

Today I decided to show you my mini acrylic painting that I have made of "sewing machine". Most of the crafty chics out there love materials and a colorful studio room. I had to make something for your wall didn't I? (So I did :>). Here's my detailed view of painting:

Size of Painting: 8 by 8 Inches
Medium: Acrylic Paint
Price: 500 Rs. only(5 dollars($))

***************

I really like posing with my paintings.^
I painted it's background parrot green
and added cute heart on top in middle especially
for those who love sewing as much as I do ;>.

**************

"xOXo" is right!. I like adding that in almost everything I create,
just to show some love to my customer x>.

**************

My acrylic painting going so well with mini velvet pin cushion and
scissors felt necklace x>. In fact it can be bought in set,
especially for someone who is a Craft-oholic :>.

Thanks for checking out my
sewing machine painting;^

Custom Order: Pearl Necklace!

Winter season tends to be my favorite as it gives me advantage to dressup. It's my goal this year to organize and wear everything in my wardrobe. I will also share fun outfit sets and jewelry with you. How about a new label?^.

One thing which I enjoy the most creating are customer orders. I not only get to prove myself as a designer through orders but also learn alot for next time. Materials I use keep evolving as I tend to switch between best options always.^

Today I want to share my process of making custom pearl necklace and what exactly I did to make this:

This necklace was custom made
and it's sold. Got some necklace you need for your party?^ then
place order here.

*****************

My Design Process:

I already had made a big
pearl necklace. I utilized it's
big pearl for my this custom order.

************

Pearl Necklace:

I used over 210 pearls to make this
one long necklace. It was quite
time consuming and tiring job.
As i used double elastic thread
in this necklace. I was happy
after it was ready;^.

*****************

Packaging:

I chose pink packaging for it's
box which I made myself too^.
Lined it's corners with red
and added big lips cutout
In middle^^.

*It's Ready*

Featured Artist #4: "Elide Eligar"

I have been wanting to do "featured artist" post from very long time. When I started this blog, I really wanted to do something different from others and not just become selfish with my work and keep it in spotlight. It's my goal for 2015 to do at least 100 features on this blog. For that if you're an artist, you can inbox me your work and page links. I will feature your work along with full interview, your story and vision right here;>.

Today I will be featuring "Elide Eligar" who is an amazing fashion illustrator from Italy. When I first came across her work, what caught my attention was her immediate use of pastels and pinks with dark outlines. Normally artists do black and white or totally colorful artwork. But to see someone's work being emphasized differently was amazing.

Elide Eligar Illustrative work you can find here.

Question#1: You from Italy right? Did you knew from day 1 that you were going to be an artist?^

Yes I am Italian. Since childhood, I always loved drawing and sketching. So yes considering that fact I did knew from start, that drawing would always be something I'd enjoy.

Question#2: The conception behind Italy is this that since it's "Heart of Art" whatever you will create it will sell. How true is this?. Is there a market for art in your city?^

It has just been a while since I "joined" the world of fashion illustration and on-line business, I still have a lot to learn. Unfortunately, in my city there are very few opportunities to sell art. I do believe though, at the moment there is much more chance to sell my art by promoting it thoroughly online compared to selling it otherwise.

Elide's Pink pastel emphasized illustration with
dose of glitter.

Question#3: One thing which separates your work from other illustrators I've seen is the distinctive emphasize you use on pastels and outlines. How is your style coming out to be so far?^

As I mentioned just now, I have recently joined the "fashion illustration world" my style is still evolving. I believe I am still work in progress, but pastel color will always be highlight of my illustrative style. I'm working with graphic tablet these days, to make my work look more appealing and original from a classic pastel drawing.I am also learning new digital tricks to add mixed media on my portfolio work.

Elide's redbubble shop products are here.

Question#4: You have etsy, redbubble shop and facebook page which you manage, how you cope with the stress of regularly updating all your social sites?Any tips?^

It is fun for me to update my social sites. I think it's important to promote my work on-line, as this also gives me a chance to know more people from different parts of the world. I get to stay in touch with many different artists and learn so much from them. These social sites prove to be great opportunity for new comers, it's always best to make use of them fully.

Elide's pretty colorful Christmas illustration^

Question#5: What medium and materials you use for your illustrative work?^

I use Fabriano paper, Letraset Promarker pantoni and then I add a digital touch to my work.

Elide's hand drawn illustration^

Question#6: Who are your inspirations behind all your portfolio work?

There are many artists who inspire me. Art by Joshua McKannedy with his Pidgin doll, also the french style by Angeline Melin and Megan Hess. I'm also fond of checking out fashion photography and vintage styles. I like reproducing Marie Antoniette style of 700tv with colourful dressing. French and Parisian atmosphere inspire me as well.

Question#7: What are the 3 golden rules any illustrator should follow to be successful as an artist?

In my opinion every illustrator:
- should be original, following his/her own style, knowing how to take out inspirations
- should practice as often as possible and always be modest on learning
- should also carry an illustrated card, promoting work on every given chance

Elide's hand made bags^

Question#8: Apart from illustrations what type of other products do you sell?^

I sell t-shirts, tote bags with my original drawings. Recently, I have also started making handmade-illustrated cotton purses.

Question#9: What is the price range for your products?^

The price is cheap and modest starting from 4 and 15 euros on wards.

Question#10: Where do you see yourself in two years of time period?^

I hope to learn more and develop my style so that I can increase my production.

Elide's portfolio work has french to it^.

Question#11: How important is it to support small handmade businesses and would you support such businesses?

It is important to support young small hand made businesses. Just like us there are more who might be hoping someone can find their work and fall in love with it.

***********************************

Thank you elide for featuring your work at my today's blog post.
Check out more of her work
and say hi to her right here.

On second thoughts..

I was busy spring cleaning yesterday all day fellas that's why I could not blog. Finally managed to organize all my stationery along with materials. Lately I was feeling exhausted with thoughts of my artwork and designing career. It's that point in life where you feel most likely, to ask yourself the question whether you think it will be alright to keep creating art and blogging for next five years?.

Is it wise to stick being a freelancer and not work for some company instead?. Here's the deal: the bitter part is always hard to swallow. So many talented people out there just back out mostly because they could not cope up with hardship and struggles of being an artist. The question is when will be the right time for your art to be recognized?. I have living artists in my life who are a proof that perhaps 3 to 4 years of extreme hardship and struggles would really prove to be damn fruitful in the end. The path may same long, but believe me time passes very fast especially hard time.

Today I am not here to share a diy post or one of my custom orders with you. I just want to share some reality check points with you all. Though I did had bunch of posts all glossed up and ready for you. But you see when my mind is going through these transitional thoughts then how can I enjoy writing in something sweet and tart?^.

As I mentioned many times in my previous posts, I really want to keep it real here at my blog. I will write what i'll feel and want. I won't hide out my true emotions and thoughts from anyone. Because honestly there's nothing to hide.

On second thoughts,  I was also thinking to add my about me section pages here. Want to work on it awesomely plus good thing I just cleared my full table now it's all prepped for my painting process :>.

Although I skip at times few days in between to post here, but I am really glad you all still support me so much. Thank you^^.

Now I can sleep peacefully being happy because I got brave enough to share with you an "Insight" of mine instead of disappearing and not giving you any updates.

Until next time,
Takecare,

Inspirations: Colorful Experience!

Last few days I was going through alot of changes emotionally. It's a good feeling to forgive everyone who may have wronged you at one point or another. I'm leo and we tend to forgive people very fast even those who don't deserve to be forgiven. To me I personally feel no point in hating anyone. Life's short and it is spent best if you forget about your hatred and forgive everyone that's what a real LEADER is like. I took off yesterday that's why because was taking my time to forgive everyone and start fresh again^. So thank you for that alot you all so kind and still checked my blog yesterday to check for my new post ♥.

Product Preview: Blue Edition!

I was pretty much out all two days. It was so much fun. I had dinner with family last night and then i went to meet my friend that I've made online. I am loving blogging, instagram and facebook. It's so damn useful for interacting with cool people living in your own city if you utilize your profile wisely. Now I'm working on scrapbook order I recently received, can't wait to show you all some peeks.

So today I will be sharing blue perfumes and sets that I own. I will tell you all the pros and cons for what I've experienced:

#1 Britney Spears Perfume(Curious):

●Starting from bottle it's adorable, I love the little hearts accessory which comes along with the bottle. You can make it your key chain or bag accessory.
●Scent of this perfume is floral mix, long lasting and fresh.
●Best is due to it's portable size can easily fit in your bag.

#2 Paris Hilton Perfume Set:

●Love the box and packaging. Perfect for gifting someone.
●Set includes: Perfume, Glitter body lotion, shower gel and cute mirror.
●Perfume smells like that of roses, along with shower gel and body lotion.
●Cute mirror: Comes with slide in pouch. It's not real glass mirror though. Just sliver sticker. Which is a little bothersome. The rest of whole set is awesome would recommend you to this for perfume it smells beautiful.

#3 Stardust:

●Love the bottle and packaging. It has a star embossed on it. Very pretty.
●This set includes 1 big perfume bottle, 1 small perfume sample bottle, shower gel and body lotion(does not has glitter).
●To me the perfume smell is very strong. Only a chic who likes to wear strong fragrances can pull this scent.

Hope you enjoyed these previews.
Xoxo,
Seresha
